We are a Private Health Clinic that offers specialist and excellent care in the fields of Physiotherapy, Acupuncture, Health and Wellness.
There are over 20 different types of treatments and services currently provided across our 3 venues in Peterborough, and we will be expanding our scope as time continues. We also offer mobile home visit treatments in and around Peterborough as well as providing care through video conferencing systems; in this way we can help you wherever you might be in the world!
Our singular aim is to help you to achieve #YourPeakHealth.
We do this by using scientifically researched diagnostics and treatments that are evidence-based and we maintain a truly holistic approach where we recognise that health is more than just the physical – it also includes mental and emotional aspects which we cater for.
We treat people from all walks of life – everyday heroes, people with specific health requirements, sports people those with work-related problems or even those who have had an accident; basically just normal everyday people such as yourself.
Due to the wealth of experiences that our multi-disciplinary team members bring, we can confidently assess, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate you regardless of what might have caused the initial problem. We set clear and measurable goals with you based on what you want to achieve and then develop robust bespoke plans to target and address the issues so that you can achieve your peak health. We can achieve all this in one place saving you time and energy in looking for further help, plus because we are a team, you can be assured that our approach to your health is seamless.
The team is led by Poonam Anandaraj, a Chartered Physiotherapist who has worked in both the NHS and Private Practice sectors for over 22 years. She has therefore seen and experienced both good and some negative methods of delivering health care over the years. Her vision is for Peak Health Clinics to address the root of your problem and not just treat the surface symptoms. She is passionate about ensuring that your health journey is both positive and pro-active. Under her direction, the team at Peak Health Clinics always puts you first and strive to work with you to bring about your healing as swiftly as possibly.
Our clinics have been carefully designed to be scrupulously clean, hygienic and professional whilst also relaxing and comfortable. As a team, we are all highly enthusiastic about ongoing Continuous Professional Development so that we can constantly improve our services to you and minimise the time that you are suffering.
We understand that life can get busy with work and family commitments; therefore, we offer flexible and convenient appointment options from early starts in the morning before work to evenings and Saturday mornings.
Our flagship clinic is based in Orton Southgate, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, UK, and we proudly opened our doors in November 2019 offering Physiotherapy and Acupuncture.
In July 2020, as lockdown was easing post Covid-19, we opened our doors to our second clinic in Hampton Hargate, and expanded our services to include the health and wellness sectors.
And in September 2020 we moved into Werrington to further offer our services to the people living and working in the north of the city.
We are excited to bring you a health clinic that will continue to grow with and match your expectations.

Esther Al-Samirraie grew up in South Africa and after having studied at Tshwane University of Technology to become a Dental Technician, she then decided to take the opportunity to travel. During this time, she worked for the Carnival Cruise Line in America, which was a great experience and allowed her to meet many people from many different cultures. On the Cruises Line (with over 3000 passengers) she worked as a restaurant waitress and hostess which further developed her desire to look after and serve her clients. She met her Croatian husband on the Cruise Ship, and they have now been married for 17 years, and are parents to twins.
Esther moved to England in 2002 and worked as a Dental Technician. However, she was committed to a career change and so she studied started to study holistic therapies in the evenings. This focus has led to Esther developing and working as a holistic therapist for the past 15 years.
She finds that working as a massage therapist is very rewarding because it allows the clients to not only get relief from their aches and pains but it is also a very simple and effective way to bring about relaxation as well as improvement in physical and mental health. It also improves circulation and the recovery from soft tissue injuries, as well as reducing muscle tension and stimulating the lymphatic system.
Esther gained her qualifications in Swedish Body Massage, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage by studying at the University Centre, Peterborough. She went on to further study Sports Massage Techniques at UK HOLISTICS in Grantham, and Pregnancy Massage at Gateway workshops in Leicester with FHT Qualified Practitioners.
Esther uses products from Neal’s Yard Remedies in her various massage treatments. The products are natural, organic and environmentally friendly. To avoid nut allergies, she uses Grapeseed oil as a base and blends this expertly with aromatic essential oils such as ginger and juniper. This wonderful warming oil is not only great for your muscles, but it also warms her hands so that you receive a unique experience of therapeutic warming from within your body as well as from the exterior.
For her reflexology treatments, she uses Neal’s Yard Bee Lovely Balm as this nourishes the feet and makes them feel refreshed.
You can buy these products and more directly through Peak Health Clinics, or through our retail section on this website.
When not working, Esther enjoys drawing and painting, although she struggles to find enough time for them. She also likes to read, cook and do yoga/gym to build her strength and flexibility. She enjoys family activities such as cycling with her children kids and husband. With her generous heart, she has raised money for MacMillan Cancer Charity this year by ‘Braving the Shave’ whereby she sacrificed her very long hair to fundraise for the charity. As part of that course she had clinical placements and gained experience in helping both adults and children with various nutrition-related conditions, such as obesity management and general weight management.

She is also a keen environmentalist and is a member of both Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth, as well as still belonging to her university environmental group. Saeemah has also been a paper candidate for the local office of the Green party in 2009 and 2011.
